Jeffrey, can you briefly introduce yourself?

I am Jeffrey Franken, 39 years old and working as Senior Document Controller at Ditio for almost 7 years.
With 19 years of experience in Document, Data & Information Management, I have built my expertise at reputable companies such as Jacobs/Worley Engineering, BP Refinery, SIF Group, Royal van Twist and KCI The Engineering.

In my current role, I am responsible for managing all document control-related issues for selected projects. I ensure that these processes run smoothly according to project procedures and report status to management.

I get my motivation from staying up-to-date with the progress of my projects and satisfying project teams.
My goal is to become a true all-rounder by gaining more knowledge of new and existing Document Management Systems (DMS).
In the future, I hope to advance to a role as a coordinator or cooperating foreman, where I can share my knowledge and experience and guide others.

I am proud of my work, especially the various Turnarounds I have had the opportunity to supervise as document controller at BP Refinery Rotterdam.
I describe my working style as both team-oriented and independent, with a solution-oriented approach and a strong motivation to support colleagues.

Outside of work, I share a great passion for ballroom dancing, which I once shared at a high level with my wife.
Since 2019, I have additionally been active as a DJ and have taken up dancing again with a new partner, although I now dance without competitive ambitions.

How did you end up at Ditio?

After a successful implementation of a Document Management System (DMS) at my previous employer, I became particularly interested in the world of DMS implementations. The DMS offered a versatile solution for efficiently managing documentation within projects, with features such as registration, distribution, transmittal, revision management, review, workflows and dashboards. This experience opened my eyes to the potential of DMS solutions.

To further expand my knowledge and experience, I was looking for a company that not only offers advanced DMS systems, but can also provide comprehensive support and consultancy. During my search, I discovered Ditio B.V., an organization that was a perfect fit for my needs.
Not only does Ditio offer advanced document management systems, but they also provide the necessary expertise in the form of Document Controllers, Planning, Controls & Consultancy to guide projects. This made Ditio the ideal choice for my further career.

What role do you fulfill at Ditio?

I fill the role of Senior Document Controller, a position that literally came my way!
This role is not just about the years of experience, but mainly about mastering all the tasks and responsibilities that come with being a senior. Indeed, senior means having the expertise and skills to manage and optimize complex document control processes.

What is the most fun project you've done at Ditio? 

Yes, there are actually several! For me, all Turnarounds in engineering, vendor, construction and as-built remain the most fun.

What is a memorable moment within your career at Ditio?

Almost 7 years at Ditio has given me several memorable moments.

From a warm welcome in 2018 to every successful event, but what I still think back to often is unfortunately the time of Corona.
The moment when Henk, Rick and Melanie suddenly showed up at my door with a Christmas package indicated to me Ditio's commitment to its employees during times when you couldn't physically see each other at, say, a Christmas party.

How do you envision your future at Ditio?

As a loyal employee, I see a long future ahead of me, at Ditio!
A future with suitable assignments and fun challenges, in which I can continue to motivate and develop myself and or another.
