What is it like to work at Ditio? That's what we ask our employees themselves. This time it's the turn of Johan Hitchcock. Johan started at Ditio in 2023 as Lead Document Controller. He likes to talk about his experience at Ditio.

Johan, could you introduce yourself briefly?

My name is Johan George Hitchcock the3rd. I have roughly 20 years' worth of experience in the Project Management, as well as Document, Data & Information Management industries.

I have an extremely strong passion for structure, control & order, which accommodates my efforts within the professional environment.

I am a proud father of 2 beautiful boys. I love to occasionally sing, play instruments & enjoy taking in nature, in multiple shapes & forms.

 

How did you end up at Ditio?

My resume was provided to Ditio by a colleague, in-turn, Ditio contacted me for my initial interview, which took place on February 1, 2023.

Multiple interviews & meeting later, I started my journey with Ditio on June 1, 2023.

What role do you fulfill at Ditio?

My formal position within Ditio is Lead Document Controller, however my passion & responsibilities far outweigh my title.

I consider myself not only an employee of Ditio, but a stakeholder, a member of the family & always attempt to provide my support in all ways possible within my capacity.

Ditio has an open-door policy & makes a significant difference in our day-to-day lives, we should all take the time to reflect on that.

I will always do whatever I can, to give back.

 

What is the most fun project you've done at Ditio? 

As I am relatively new, in fact, this month of June marks my 1 year anniversary with Ditio.

For that reason, I have worked on only 2 projects. Proton Ventures Project (Ammonia Transport & Storage) & Porthos Project (CO2 Transport & Distribution).

For multiple reasons, the Porthos project is far more interesting, as:

  1. It's the first of it's kind
  2. The structure of the organization is highly significant & poses unforeseen & persistent challenges

What is a memorable moment within your career at Ditio?

This experience in totality is a memorable one thus-far.

 

How do you envision your future at Ditio?

In future, I do see myself as more than just an employee of Ditio. I see myself as a partner, as part of a team which will be responsible for making Ditio grow & expand even more than it already has.

I want to contribute toward the vision of the company.
