This is Ditiosi: Marnix Reuvers

What’s it like to work at Ditio? We ask our employees themselves. This time, it’s Marnix Reuvers’ turn. Marnix joined Ditio in 2018 as Lead Document Controller. He’s happy to share his experience at Ditio.

Marnix, could you briefly introduce yourself?

My name is Marnix Reuvers. I’m 49 years old and live in Rotterdam with my girlfriend Carolina and my daughter Nathalya. In my free time, I enjoy going on nice trips, dining out, and visiting cozy bars. I also like to do some DIY projects and play video games every now and then. So, it’s a good balance between relaxation and staying active.

How did you end up at Ditio?

It actually started in an unexpected way. I took my girlfriend to Ditio for a job interview. While she was in the interview, I was allowed to work in the office. I was given a very warm welcome, and the atmosphere I sensed there piqued my curiosity.
Since I was already working in the field of document control at the time, the decision was an easy one. We scheduled an appointment, and now, eight years later, here we are.

What role do you fulfill at Ditio?

My business card says "Business Consultant," but in practice, my role is broader. I adapt to the client's needs. That means that sometimes I'm involved in consulting, while at other times I serve as a document controller or document control team lead.

Lately, my focus has been primarily on team lead roles, where I manage teams and ensure that processes and collaboration run smoothly.

What makes your work so enjoyable?

What energizes me is delivering real added value to project teams. Projects are often under intense pressure, and that’s precisely when it’s important for document workflows to be well-organized. This ensures clarity, peace of mind, and control within a project.

I also enjoy being able to adapt quickly when the situation calls for it. That dynamic and the feeling that we’re all “in control” together are what make the work interesting to me.

What is the most fun project you've done at Ditio?

I can’t single out any one specific project, because each project has its own challenges and dynamics. What I see as the common thread running through all these projects is working with teams of document controllers.

What I enjoy most is helping people work well together and empowering everyone to reach their full potential. When team members enjoy coming to work, we can accomplish much more together and support one another when needed.

What is a memorable moment within your career at Ditio?

A few years ago, I was named Employee of the Year. That was a time when I was juggling several challenging projects at once.

I was truly honored that Ditio recognized and appreciated that. As the icing on the cake, I was honored while I was in sunny Madrid with my girlfriend, even as it was snowing in the Netherlands. That makes it all the more memorable.

How do you envision your future at Ditio?

I am currently working on a major project that will be my main focus over the next few years. Within this project, I aim to showcase Ditio’s knowledge and expertise to the fullest extent possible.

After all, “satisfied customers” are the “best form of advertising.” Through this, I want to contribute to Ditio’s development as a consulting one-stop-shop, rather than merely an execution partner.
