Ditiosi speaking: Remco Eversdijk

What kind of people actually work at Ditio? And how do they like working at our company? We let them tell us. Today we are talking to Remco Eversdijk. Remco started the Ditio Traineeship to Project Controller in March 2022. He was in the first batch and is happy to share his experiences.
Remco, would you introduce yourself briefly?

'Yes, I am Remco, 24 years old and I live in The Hague. I am a sports fanatic, I find almost every sport interesting, but my biggest passion is badminton. If I can find time besides my work and sport I like to do drinks with friends.'

What education did you have before joining Ditio?

'I studied Banking & Insurance at Inholland in The Hague.'

How did you end up at Ditio?

'In 2021, I was looking for a graduate position. I knew Rick (CEO Ditio) through badminton and I had approached him if he happened to be able to offer a graduate position. This was possible, after which I started researching the HR processes within Ditio. After graduating, I left Ditio and started working as a Finance Consultant. Soon Rick approached me about a new Young Talent Program at Ditio. Eventually, I started this program in March 2022.'

Why did you choose Ditio and this training program?

'During my graduate studies, I was already really enjoying myself at Ditio. When Rick approached me for the traineeship, I was not completely satisfied with my current job. In the traineeship at Ditio I saw a new interesting challenge, especially because your own development is paramount.'

What exactly does the traineeship entail?

'The Young Talent Program was set up by Ditio together with a client. It is a one-year program in which, under Ditio's guidance, you develop into a Project Controller. During the first month of this program you follow an intensive training program, after which you immediately start working as a Junior Project Controller in large projects at the client. Of course you will be paired with an experienced Project Controller who will guide you in your work and development. Where necessary you can also receive additional training and/or guidance. After the project we will look at the future together with you. The intention is that a permanent job with the client is on the horizon.

How do you like it so far?

'I definitely like the traineeship. In the beginning it was sometimes a bit of a search for everyone involved, but I was also in the first batch of this program. Once I started working, more and more fell into place. As I learn more, I notice that I am also starting to like the work more and more.'

How is the contact with colleagues?

"That's good. At the client it is sometimes a challenge to have good contact with colleagues. After all, we are not in the same office location like most companies. Fortunately, from the Young Talent Program a lot is done to keep in close contact with each other and the other Ditiosi working here.

Would you recommend the track?

'If you are just out of school and interested in the project world, this training program is very interesting and I would definitely recommend it.'

What would you recommend to someone who wants to know more or is still unsure about this traineeship?

'If you are interested in this track and want to know more about it, feel free to come and have a cup of coffee with Alfonso or a Ditiosi who is already on the traineeship. We'll be happy to tell you all about it.'

To conclude, what do you enjoy most about working at Ditio?

'The combination between hard work and not shying away from challenges, meanwhile having a friendly working atmosphere where we have fun together.'

Needless to say, we wish Remco continued enjoyment and success at Ditio.
