Ditiosi speaking: Remco Treffers

What is working at Ditio really like? In Ditiosi at the Word a colleague is in the spotlight and gets the opportunity to tell what the atmosphere is like on the shop floor at Ditio. Today we interview our Manager DIM, Remco Treffers. He tells us about his department, his ambitions and more.
Remco, could you briefly introduce yourself?

My name is Remco Treffers and I live in the beautiful village of Hoevelaken. I live together with my wife Michelle and 3 children. I have a background in construction. After high school I studied MBO architecture. After this I started working in construction and worked in that sector for several years. After a career switch I started working in Document Control in the Energy sector. In my spare time I play volleyball or you can find me on the padel court.

How did you end up at Ditio?

I knew Rick, Ditio's general manager, through a job interview I had with him in 2014. Even though I was not allowed to fill the role, we always kept in touch. I was additionally in touch with various people within Ditio on an informal basis. When a vacancy came up online in 2021 for a Senior Document Controller position, I applied immediately.

What role do you fulfill at Ditio?

I am a Manager of DIM within Ditio. This means I am in charge of the Document & Information Management department of about 40 Document Controllers. Keeping Ditiosi engaged and interested is very important, as is maintaining the strength and quality of the DIM department. Taking care of suitable and challenging positions for the DIM-Ditiosi with an eye on personal development is also part of my responsibilities.

What is the most fun project you've done at Ditio? 

I no longer have projects in my role as Manager DIM, but I am extremely happy with our current client base. I myself really enjoy having Start-Ups in our client base. Among other things, we are with a start-up that converts hydrogen into electricity. We have to build everything at this company in the area of Document Control. We get to lay the groundwork, make programs work, get to know new people and get everything implemented.

I also like to see that when a project is completed at a company, years later there are still things to be seen from the work we did.

What is a memorable moment within your career at Ditio? 

Summer Festival of 2022 I found really lasting. This was the first get-together of many Ditiosi after the Corona period. In addition, Ditio was celebrating 10 years, so that was a good combination. The sincerity, sociability, activities, the way of how we stood there, it was a great day. There the bond within Ditio grew stronger again and shaped the company more as it is today.

Another moment was last year during Christmas. Every year an employee of the year is proclaimed. This Ditiosi is chosen based on accomplishments, contributions and how things have gone over the past year. Last year, I myself was on vacation during the Christmas party but was called via FaceTime by our Operations Director, Henk Brouwer. I was surprised: Did I win something? In the end, my colleague Marnix won Employee of the Year, and I was the runner-up. This does show appreciation for your work within Ditio.

How do you envision your future at Ditio? 

Even though I had a very good position as Lead Document Controller, I made a move recently by taking on the position of Manager DIM. I always had the ambition to grow within Ditio and execute Rick's (CEO) vision. If you work hard and show what your ambitions are, you can grow and make strides. My next ambition is to make the DIM department stronger and better. We have a good group of people who can help our customers well.
