My name is Rosa Sirera Perdomo, and I’m now one of the “grown-ups” among us. I live in Schiedam with my beautiful daughter and our Maine Coon cat, Misto.
I have a technical background and have been working in Document Control for over sixteen years now. At Ditio, I’ve worked on various projects, including ones for Tata, DWG, and BP. As a result, over the years I’ve been able to get a behind-the-scenes look at many different organizations.
Seven years ago, I ended up at Ditio through a number of colleagues. I had previously worked with them at Damen Shiprepair in Schiedam. They had since started working at Ditio, and that’s how I came into contact with the organization as well.
That step turned out to be a good choice, because we’ve now completed quite a few projects and experienced many wonderful moments.
I work as a Document Controller and am currently employed at Strukton in Roosendaal. I’m really enjoying myself there and work with some great colleagues.
As a Document Controller, your job is essentially to make the work of work planners and project managers—among others—easier. They need to be able to focus on their own tasks without constantly having to exchange, locate, and manage documentation. I ensure that those document flows are managed effectively and that the right information ends up in the right place.
I started out as a Document Controller sixteen years ago, and I still consider it one of the most enjoyable roles to fill. You support many different people within a project and realize that good document management ultimately benefits the entire team.
It’s precisely that appreciation that makes the work enjoyable. You make it easier for others to do their jobs, and in doing so, you contribute to the progress of a project in your own way.
I can't really single out just one project. I enjoyed them all in their own way. With every project, I gained new knowledge and got to know new people.
And perhaps just as important: through various projects, I’ve not only gained valuable knowledge but also made good friends. That’s exactly what makes the variety of projects so valuable to me.
I’ve experienced many wonderful moments over the past seven years. What’s especially meaningful to me are the bonds I’ve built with some of my colleagues.
For some of my colleagues, our relationship has grown to be much more than just work. We regularly meet up outside of Ditio and visit each other’s homes. For me, those friendships are perhaps the most valuable thing my time at Ditio has brought me so far.
Above all, I hope I can continue doing my job at Ditio for a long time to come. I really enjoy my work and being part of the organization. Looking ahead, I hope to be part of many more wonderful projects and share many more wonderful moments with my colleagues.
