Employee of the Year 2022: Marnix Reuvers

Marnix, since when have you been a Ditiosi and what exactly do you do for work?

I have been working for Ditio for about 4½ years now. My position within Ditio is described as Business Consultant. In practice I perform this role, but I am also deployed as Lead, Senior and Document Controller. Depending on what our customer needs at the time.

How do you look back on the past year at Ditio? What were your highlights?

Mainly that it was a very diverse year. I worked for six different clients, all with their own challenges. There was a common thread running through all these assignments: I was allowed to solve a problem that arose from the fact that there was too little documentation and people had left the company. Very challenging to get the situation under control again quickly.

A highlight of 2022 is that I successfully completed these assignments. And of course the collaboration with my supportive Ditio colleagues. At several clients I have had help from Ditio Professionals or from Ditio Solutions. Teamwork is always pleasant. Where Ditio colleagues are still working at these clients today. Really nice.

What do you see as your greatest achievement at Ditio?

This is from a while ago. I was allowed to mentor a team at a specific client. A group with a lot of turnover before. We all managed to turn this around. The knowledge remained on board, making it easier for us to deal with complex questions. This automatically made the work atmosphere more fun. We really became a close-knit team that year. Although it has been several years now, we still speak to each other regularly. And we still like to get together for a nice barbecue.

Why do you think you were voted employee of the year?

Henk's (Operational Director) speech did cover it. Several assignments at once, working with colleagues, bringing in new work for Ditio and other things I can't remember. I think it is the combination of the above that all fell into place this year.

What characteristics should a true Ditiosi have in your eyes?

Everyone has their qualities, but also their pitfalls. People who can accept and respect that from each other are, in my opinion, Ditiosi. Furthermore, I think Ditiosi are sociable, open, eager to learn and ambitious. And, of course, good at their job!

What can/would you still grow in?

Right now, I have no preconceived plan. I tackle whatever comes my way as best I can. The experience I gain can always be carried over to the next task.

What are your resolutions or goals for 2023?

Mainly picking up sports again. I haven't been for 3 months, so it's about time. Otherwise I will only grow in width!
