Employee of the Year 2023: Mariska Rampersad
Both - both runner-up and employee of the year 2023 - have been busy setting up and establishing work processes and systems. Both have shown an extra effort to put Ditio on the map as a knowledge club ever better. From an intrinsic motivation, they both go the extra mile and are proactive in promoting Ditio. They both demonstrate their commitment by participating in the newly formed Works Council. This is exactly how they show their commitment to Ditio and all Ditiosi!
For Sjoerd as runner-up, he is also very involved in training and coaching juniors and sharing knowledge.
With Mariska, our employee of the year 2023, of course we immediately think of soup. Delicious soup that has not only already won a prize but that Mariska also made for everyone during 2 cooking events last year. And once during lunch spontaneously. Delicious! Mariska is very involved, open and willing to help in any way she can. You see her at every event, and she also gives the necessary input for events.
In addition, both are also very pleasant and sociable colleagues! So we cannot but congratulate Sjoerd in a park in the Netherlands, and Mariska with wonderful weekend in Copenhagen and wish them lots of fun!
Mariska, since when have you been a Ditiosi and what exactly do you do for work?
I joined Ditio in 2018. Last September, I was employed for 5 years. My position within Ditio is Document Controller.
How do you look back on the past year at Ditio? What were your highlights?
Last year I tried to be even more involved with Ditio. For example, I tried to attend the office more often, Bright Night and cooking nights. I also applied for the OR. Another highlight of 2023 was that I was elected by all Ditiosi as an OR member.
What do you see as your greatest achievement at Ditio?
I see my greatest achievement at Ditio as my work with the customer, Cosun Beet Company. I can do my work there to the satisfaction of the customer in the name of Ditio.
Why do you think you were voted employee of the year?
Honestly, I was really super surprised. I really didn't expect it, but looking at my previous answers about how I look back at Ditio and the past year, I think I was chosen employee of the year because of my commitment. I also got this from my colleagues.
What characteristics should a true Ditiosi have in your eyes?
I think a true Ditiosi must possess a high sense of responsibility, you must trust in yourself that you can do it and of course be really social!
What can/would you still grow in?
I think I can definitely still learn a lot at Ditio. There are so many opportunities not only within Document Control but also in other branches that are offered.
What are your resolutions or goals for 2023?
For now, my goal is to work with the other OR members to set up the OR well and make this my own.
