Employee of the Year 2024: Dennis van Loon

He is enthusiastic and exudes positivity in everything he does. He ensures that we always stay abreast of important client developments, which helps us remain proactive and effective in responding to their needs.

He also works in the background. Dennis is committed to keeping the billing processes between Ditio and the client running smoothly. This keeps the cooperation clear and efficient. This commitment not only ensures a good relationship with our clients, but also contributes directly to Ditio's success.

Whether providing training or supporting team members and customers, he always shows that teamwork is a top priority for him. His passion for sharing knowledge and helping others (grow) makes him a good candidate for employee of the year.

Dennis, since when did you become a Ditiosi and what exactly do you do for work?

I am a Ditiosi since January 2022 and work as a Cost Engineer. The first year I worked for Worley, then I transferred to BP refinery in Europoort, where I have been working for two years now.

How do you look back on the past year at Ditio? What were your highlights?

The past year has flown by, I sometimes feel like I celebrated New Year's Eve the day before yesterday. Highlights were without a doubt the Ditio summer party and the trainings I was able to give and follow in Rijswijk. I enjoy being able to do this in between work, it's cool to share knowledge and experience with other Ditiosi and also enjoy good food together.

What do you see as your greatest achievement at Ditio?

Secretly, I feel I helped introduce Lego to Ditio, that hint was also used in the announcement. Other than that, it's just nice working with the team.

Why do you think you were voted employee of the year?

I don't know the answer to this question so quickly. I enjoy doing my thing and feel at home at Ditio, which also gives a lot of motivation to do the job well. I also give an Excel training at Ditio's office in Rijswijk a couple of times a year, but that is something I enjoy doing myself too 🙂 .

What characteristics should a true Ditiosi have in your eyes?

Being there for each other I do think is one of the most important traits.

What can/would you still grow in?

For myself, I would like to do more with Power BI.

What are your resolutions or goals for 2025?

Just get on with it, it's all going fast enough. I never make resolutions at the beginning of the year. I only disappoint myself with them. One step in the right direction every day works better for me.
