Ditio officially recognized learning company for mbo students

Recently Ditio has officially become a recognized learning company. But what exactly does that mean for our company, for the Ditiosi and for the new generation of talents we want to mentor? We spoke to Eveline Honselaar, HR-Generalist at Ditio, about what this step means, how we have prepared and what opportunities it offers.

Eveline Honselaar joined Ditio in January and was closely involved in the application and implementation of this recognition. She shares her vision on learning in practice, the role of mentoring and the importance of investing in talent within our fields of document control, project control and information management.

What exactly does it mean to be an approved apprenticeship?

"Now that Ditio is a recognized training company, we are allowed to supervise students from the MBO and offer a practical environment/internship. To be recognized, you must meet strict conditions: for example, you must appoint a practical trainer, provide good guidance and actively cooperate with the student's school. You must also provide sufficient resources and space so that the student can develop optimally."

What does this mean for Ditio?

"For Ditio, it means that we get to actively use our knowledge and experience to train the professionals of tomorrow. We believe in 'learning by doing' and this recognition fits perfectly with that. It suits who we are: an organization that not only wants to move projects forward, but also people."

Why was it important to take this step?

"The trigger was a concrete request from a student who wanted to do an internship with us. To make that internship possible, we had to be recognized. In addition, the status of recognized training company fits completely into our picture of contributing to the development of new talent as well as continuing to learn as an organization from the fresh perspective that students bring."

How does this fit with Ditio's vision and mission?

"Our mission is to bring together the right people, knowledge and tools to really move projects forward. As a learning company, we can share our expertise with the professionals of the future. This fits perfectly with our vision of sustainable growth and continuous development."

What are the benefits of offering apprenticeships?

"For Ditiosi, it is an opportunity to develop their coaching skills, transfer knowledge and contribute to someone's growth. For us as an organization, it brings energy, new perspectives and the opportunity to discover and retain talent early."

How does this initiative align with Ditio's growth strategy?

"We are growing and want to continue to do so in a sustainable way. That means investing in new people. By offering apprenticeships, we create a healthy influx of professionals who can advance within our fields."

What is your role as an HR generalist in this process?

"I ensure that we meet the accreditation requirements, that practical trainers are well prepared and that the supervision process runs smoothly. You can see me as the link between student, training and organization as well as guardian of quality."

How does HR support employees who are going to mentor?

"We offer clear advance information, coaching for practice trainers and a clear structure. In addition, we are always available as a sparring partner for questions or challenges."

What does Ditio offer to MBO students seeking an apprenticeship?

"Students participate in real projects with us, together with experienced professionals. They develop in several areas, in line with their education and their ambitions. For example, they support work in the areas of project planning, quality assurance, document management and control processes in large infrastructure or technical projects. You really get a thorough look behind the scenes of the project world."

How do you make students feel welcome?

"We see students as full team members. They receive guidance, feedback and the space to ask questions. We provide a safe and open culture where learning is central."

Does Ditio already work with educational institutions?

"Not yet, but that's definitely a next step. We would like to build that cooperation further."

What are the biggest challenges in this journey?

"The biggest challenge is fitting an apprenticeship into a dynamic project environment. Colleagues are often busy. That's why we provide clear communication, practical support and realistic expectations."

What impact do you expect this to have on our corporate culture?

"A positive one! It encourages us to be intentional about knowledge sharing and mentoring. It strengthens our learning-oriented culture and makes us more attractive as an employer for young talent."

How do you see the role of apprenticeships in the broader labor market?

"Apprenticeships are essential, especially in our industries. Whether in document control, project control or information management, the influx of well-trained people is crucial. By providing practical experience, together we strengthen the labor market of tomorrow."
