Senior Document Controller

As Senior Document Controller, you are the hub of project documentation. You are responsible for managing data exchange, internal and external documentation management and data implementation. You have a passion for structure and optimization and you know better than anyone how to keep information accessible and organized.

As Senior Document Controller, you also have an eye for broader organizational and departmental documentation management needs. You will manage junior and/or medior controllers.

Your responsibilities

Your focus will be on managing, monitoring and reporting the project's data. Associated responsibilities include: 

  • Maintain agreed (project) document management process;

  • Checking data/documentation from registers/databases, ensuring that the data/documentation is accurate and that it is the most recent information;

  • Preparation of reports related to documentation and data management;

  • Managing and organizing the databases and related project documentation. Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of this documentation through regular quality checks so that it is and remains up-to-date at all times.

  • Maintain the Document Management Systems used in which data/documentation resides;

  • Provide basic explanations to users regarding use of the Document Management System;

  • Quality check on documentation for registration and/or distribution;

  • Independently start, execute and deliver multiple projects;

  • Support, train (training-on-the-job) and supervise Junior and Medior Document Controllers.

Of course, you will also work with various project teams for process optimization and information exchange.

In addition, you bring: 

  • A completed college education with a technical or administrative background; 

  • Minimum of 6 years of work experience as a Document Controller/Administrative Assistant; 

  • In possession of VCA (or willing to obtain);

  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages; 

  • Strong communication and service-oriented skills; 

  • Extensive knowledge of Document Management Systems (e.g. Aconex);

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office & MS365;

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint;

  • Energetic and eager to learn;

  • Willingness to travel further for work.

  • A salary commensurate with your responsibilities and experience; 

  • Flexible working hours; for example, a work week of 24 to 40 hours; 

  • Travel reimbursement (€0.23 per km) or lease agreement;

  • Home working allowance (€2.35 per day); 

  • Telephone allowance €25.
